Kathy A Schacherer, age 65 of Shelby, died Thursday evening January 14, 2016 at Ohio Health Mansfield.
Born July 30, 1950 in Morehead, KY to John and Ida Mae (Jones) Wallace she had been a Shelby resident all of her life. A graduate of Shelby High School she had been a homemaker.
Kathy’s favorite hobbies included cooking and gardening. Nana was a wonderful caregiver who enjoyed raising her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by one son; Rodney Wallace of Shelby, two daughters; Angie (Joe) Rockhold of Bellville, Melissa (fiancé Jason Hoffman) Mowry of Shelby, five grandchildren Corey and Zachery Wallace, Trayven Rockhold, Keaton and Kennedi Mowry; one brother, Sonny (Jean) Wallace of Shelby; three sisters, Fran (Ed) Mackey of Shelby, Olive Abrams of Ashland and Linda Lattimer of Ontario; sisters-in-law, Jeni Wallace Day of Shelby, Margee Gregory of Galion, Carol Gregory of Mt. Dora, FL and Mary Wallace of Tampa, FL.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Larry Schacherer; brothers, James, Glen, Lloyd, Charles, Ray, Clayton and Larry Wallace and one sister Joyce Dennison.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday Jan. 20, 2016 at the Barkdull Funeral Home & Crematory in Shelby. Pastor Keith Stamper will officiate with interment in Oakland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from noon – 2 p.m. Wednesday.
