Don D. Eby, 84, of Mansfield, Ohio, passed away early Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, 2015, at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital.
Born to Neil and Hazel (Troxel) Eby on June 11, 1931, he was a lifelong area resident.
Don graduated from Savannah High School in 1949. A dairy farmer by trade, he also worked as an insurance agent with Eby and Associates.
He was a loving father and made friends wherever he went. He was in a relationship for over 20 years with Carolyn Wright, whom he loved very much. In his free time, Don enjoyed gardening, animals and being out in nature, celebrating the beauty of the world around us. He was a member of Sons of Herman and F.O.E. (Eagles) where he had many treasured friends.
He is survived by his loving companion, Carolyn Wright; six children, Cheryl Eby, Ricky Eby, Jennifer Conery, Douglas Eby, Rhonda Stroup (Keith Crossen) and Jeffrey (Kathleen) Eby; Carolyn’s children, Glenn Wright, Brian Wright and Robert (Melody) Wright; 18 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a special little buddy, Noen Walker; several nieces and nephews; a lifelong special friend, Roger Reuer; and special friend, Pat Sutton. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Eby; and Carolyn’s daughter, Stacey Wolfe.
