Shirley M. Harris, 79, of Mansfield, died Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016 at Whispering Hills Care Center in Mount Vernon, Ohio.

Born Oct. 2, 1936 in Lafayette, Ohio, she was the daughter of Alton and Leona (Johnson) Ault.

A homemaker, she was a very devoted wife and mother. Shirley was a very generous woman and was a member of East Hills Presbyterian Church. She was involved in the VFW 3494 where she was a past Auxiliary President.

She is survived by a daughter, Ginger (Dennis) Young of Mount Vernon; grandchildren, Jamie (Jim Ebeling) Williams, of Mansfield, Jacquelyn Morgan, of Texas, Alaina Phelps, of Seville, Ohio, Charles Phelps, of Chippewa Lake, Ohio and Athena Rohrer, of Seville, Ohio; great grandchildren, Alyssa Eaton and Kobe Eaton, both of Mansfield; siblings, Billie Wineman, of Newark, Ronald (Judy) Ault, of Greenwich, Alton (Gayle) Ault, of West Salem, and Lavina Frye, of Mansfield; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Harris; a daughter, Barb Anger; a son, Bob Anger; a sister, Arlene Ault; a brother, Gary Ault; and friend, Christ Boubary.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield conducted by Pastor Bo Fry. Burial will follow in Lantz Cemetery.

Friends may call starting at 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday.
