William “Bill” A. Dormaier, 60, of Mansfield, died Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2015.
Born May 21, 1955 in Mansfield, he was the son of William A. and Neva (Butterbaugh) Dormaier.
He was a 1974 graduate of Malabar High School and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where he was very active. Bill was employed as a car salesman and was previously a customer service representative for Disney in Florida for five years. He moved back to Ohio to be closer to his family.
Bill was a “people” person and was an avid gun collector. He was a former member of the Mansfield Auxiliary Police Force.
He is survived by his wife, Judith (Smith) Dormaier, whom he married Oct. 16, 2010; two sons, Corey (Chris) Dormaier and Brandon (Tasha) Dormaier; two grandchildren, Emma and Brennen; siblings, Rose (Bob) Hartung, Brian Dormaier, Robert Dormaier and Mona Kneuss; numerous nieces and nephews; and his grandmother, Jayne Dormaier.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and his grandfather, William J. Dormaier.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1951 Middle-Bellville Rd., Mansfield, Ohio 44904. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015 at the church with an additional calling hours one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
