Donald Perman, 86, of Mansfield, passed away Monday morning, December 21, 2015, at Brookdale Mansfield. He was born November 4, 1929, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late Clayton and Catherine M. (Eichof) Perman-Scott.

Don was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army from 1948-1952. He was a quiet, reserved man who greatly enjoyed the company of his family. On October 4, 1952, he married the love of his life, Patricia Estes. Don retired from Hartman Electric in 1993.

He is survived by his daughter, Lee (Bradley) Hostetler of Mansfield; son, Robert (Julie) Perman of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren, Mitchell Wolfe and Cody Hostetler, both of Mansfield, Michael Perman of Raleigh, NC; two step grandchildren, Jessica (Nick) Hostetler of Silver Spring, MD and Steve (Peyton) Hostetler of Charlotte, NC; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Perman in 2005; and two sisters, Mary Bishop and Marie Plank.

A private graveside service was held in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio, 1050 Dauch Drive, Ashland, OH 44805. The Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family.
