MANSFIELD, Ohio — Mechanics Bank has announced the addition and promotion of two employees.

Roger Davidson joined the bank as Vice President, Senior Credit Officer. He has over 40 years of

experience in the financial industry and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Wittenberg University and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Xavier University. He also attended The Stonier Graduate School of Banking (University of Delaware) and The Ohio School of Banking (Ohio University). He has taught courses through the American Institute of Banking. Roger, a native of Lexington, is looking forward to becoming active in the local community as he recently moved back to the area.

Phil McClenathan

In addition, Mechanics Bank announces the promotion of Phil McClenathan as Vice President, Credit Administration. He joined Mechanics in 2000 and has served in multiple positions, including Loan Service Representative, Mortgage and Consumer Lender, Quality Assurance Coordinator, Commercial Lender and Manager of Operations.

Most recently, McClenathan served as Assistant Vice President, Senior Staff Accountant. He has an Associate’s Degree from North Central State College and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Mt. Vernon Nazarene University.

He is a graduate of the Ohio Bankers League (OBL) Bank Management School, the OBL Bank Leadership Institute, the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (GSB) and GSB’s Financial Management School. He was a member of the 2013 Leadership Unlimited Class. Phil resides in Mansfield with his family.
