COLUMBUS, Ohio — The 2016 Democratic National Convention will be held July 24 to 29, 2016, in Philadelphia.
To run for district level delegate, a person must be a Democrat and be at least 18 years of age by Nov. 8, 2016, to participate in the upcoming January caucus.
How to Run:
1. Fill out a Declaration of Candidacy which is available at this link:
https://ohiodems.org/2016-delegate-selection-plan. A potential delegate must choose one candidate for President whom he or she wishes to support. To be eligible, forms are due by email, fax, U.S. mail or hand delivery to the Ohio Democratic Party (ODP) by no later than 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 26. Incomplete forms, or forms received after this date, cannot be accepted.
2. Attend the Congressional District Caucus in the Congressional District of voting residence. Caucuses will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the caucuses begin promptly at 7 p.m.

If elected, delegates will receive additional instructions later in the year on convention procedures and activities, in addition to travel and hotel information. All delegate expenses, including but not limited to, travel and accommodations, are the sole responsibility of the delegate.
