Edward J. Cervinski, 91, of Mansfield passed away peacefully at his home Dec. 2, 2015 surrounded by family.
Edward was born Sept. 10, 1924 in Mansfield to Michael and Agnes Bartoeski Cervinski. He was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, St. Mary of the Snows Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Sons of Herman, and Mansfield Club of the Deaf.
He graduated from Mansfield Carpenter School for the Deaf and Mansfield Business College. Edward was employed by Mansfield Tire & Rubber Company for more than 34 years. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, tinkering in his workshop and watching old movie classics.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years Irene; children Linda (Steve), and Edward; grandchildren Stella and Slade; great granddaughter Mia; a sister Florence Knackstedt and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Stanley, Bernard and John Cervinski.
The family would like to thank Ohio Health Hospice staff for all their care, kindness and compassion they showed to our family.
Friends may call at Herlihy-Chambers Funeral Home, 173 Park Avenue West, on Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. with a vigil service at 3 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday. Burial will follow in Mansfield Catholic Cemetery.
