Janice Lou Beck, 79, of Johnsville passed away Saturday, Nov. 28, 2015, at home surrounded by her loving family.
The daughter of Erby V. and Lena L. (Van Horn) Fosson, Janice was born April 22, 1936 in Ashland, Kentucky.
She began writing Robert Beck, (who was her brother’s friend) while he was serving in the military. The two married on July 23, 1954.
Janice enjoyed crocheting, canning, and loved tending to her flowers. She also enjoyed solving jigsaw puzzles and playing just about any kind of card game. She was a member of the Pines Christian Church and Pleasant Grove Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Jay Beck, of Johnsville, children Diana Badger, Randall (Lynn) Beck, Robert Beck, and Mickey Beck; nine grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and brother Erby Darrell Fosson.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her grandson Christopher Badger; son-in-law Steven Badger, daughter-in-law Lori Beck; and sister-in-law Peg Fosson.
Funeral services celebrating the life of Janice Lou Beck will be Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015, at 1 p.m. in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home. Her family will receive friends the hour prior from noon to 1 p.m. Pastor Ray Linn will officiate and burial will follow in Shauck Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Ohio Health MedCentral Hospice may be made through the funeral home.
