James E. “Eddie” Edgar, 86, of Iberia passed away Friday, Nov. 27, 2015 at Zusman Hospice House in Columbus.
Born Jan. 30, 1929 in Piedmont, he was the son of the late Rev. Charles Harshman and Beatrice (Cunningham) Edgar. He married Betty M. (Poast) Edgar on May 16, 1948 and they enjoyed 66 years together until her passing on March 4, 2014.
He was a graduate of Iberia schools in 1947 and retired from Kroger with over 30 years of service. Eddie enjoyed watching sports, model railroading, riding trains and working in his flower gardens.
He is survived by children Cathy (Alan) Berkov of Playa del Rey, California, Rebeca (Mike) Perona, of Columbus, and Jay Edgar, of Columbus; grandson Jeremy Hill, of New Mexico; granddaughter Megan (Steve) Lambert; great-granddaughter Izzy; brothers Albert Edgar, of East Liverpool, and David Edgar, of Galion, and sister Dorothy Wolfe, of Galion.
