Dorothy M. Kurtzman, 90, of Galion passed away Wednesday morning, November 25, 2015 in the home of her nephew in Punta Gorda, Florida. She had been in declining health.

She was born August 3, 1925, in Galion, and was the daughter of Clarence and Anna (Zeller) Kurtzman.

Dorothy graduated from Galion High School and worked at the former Peabody-Galion for 19 years and later for the City of Galion in the utilities billing department. Earlier, she worked for the Air Force as a civilian in Stockton, California, and Cocoa Beach, Florida. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galion. 

Dorothy is survived by a brother James (Marjorie) Kurtzman, of Cape Coral, Florida; nephews Michael (Thu) Kurtzman of Punta Gorda, Florida, David Kutzman; nieces Nancy (Joseph) Hernandez, Pamela (James) Teeter all of Cape Coral, Florida; two great nieces and five great nephews all of Cape Coral, Florida.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

The family will receive friends from 9 to 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 S. Market St., Galion, Ohio, 44833. Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation starting at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galion with Father John Miller as Celebrant. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society in care of the funeral home.
