MANSFIELD, Ohio — The Mansfield Symphony Youth Strings ensemble will perform a Fall Concert featuring contemporary and classic pieces with nearly 50 of north central Ohio’s most talented musicians on Sunday, Nov. 15 at 3 p.m. in Archer Auditorium at Ashland High School.
The Youth Strings ensemble will perform pieces by Doug Spata, Larry Clark, Brian Balmages, Susan H. Day, and Soon Hee Newbold during the concert.
Under the direction of Matthew Domka, the ensemble boasts student participation from Mansfield Spanish Immersion, St. Peter’s High School, Lexington Eastern Elementary, Lexington Junior High School, Ontario Middle School, Clear Fork Homeschool, Crestline High School, Willard City Schools, River Valley Middle School, Mount Vernon Middle School, Marion Grant Middle School, and OHVA Home School.
Since 1992, the MSO’s Youth Strings program has both complemented the musical instruction young people receive in their schools as well as provided a large ensemble experience to students who have no access to a school orchestra program.

The Mansfield Symphony Youth Strings Fall Concert is presented as a part of the Mechanics Bank Education Series with additional support from the Richland County Foundation.
