ONTARIO, Ohio — The holiday spirit has spread throughout the Richland Mall and a number of events will take place there this month with that theme as a backdrop.

Both new and familiar stores return for consumers getting an early jump on holiday shopping. Among the returning retailers are: Roger’s Roasted Almonds, Bill’s Buckeye Stuff, Go! Games, Hickory Farms, Leather & More, Shirt Corral and others.

New this year to the Richland Mall is Crossroads Original Designs and Candy Castle Maze.

Miss Merry Christmas Sunburst Pageant

Hallmark’s Holiday Open House

Nov. 6 through 15. It’s time to kick-off the holidays at the Hallmark Holiday Open House event. Shoppers can get in the holiday spirit and start stocking up on holiday boxed cards, new Makers Collection gift wrap, holiday stationery and gifts for all those on the nice list.

Monthly Mall Walker Meeting

Tuesday, Nov. 10, 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. The monthly mall walker meeting will take place in the food court. November is National Hospice Month. Walkers are encouraged to celebrate with SouthernCare Hospice, a birthday cake, bingo prizes and freebies will be available.

Giving Tree

Nov. 14 through Dec. 12. The Richland Mall has again partnered with the Salvation Army, Richland Children’s Auxiliary and Volunteers of America for the 2015 Giving Tree. Customers can pick up a Giving Tree Tag located near center court to help a local child in need this Christmas.

Santa, Photos and Train Ride

Saturday, Nov. 21 at 11 a.m. Santa will be in Santa’s Candy Court starting at 11 a.m. on Nov. 21. Parents are encouraged to bring their children for a visit and photos and enjoy a train ride. Richland Mall’s Facebook page will have Santa hours and a pricing package.

American Red Cross Blood Drive

Friday, Nov. 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Give the gift of life for those in need. All donors will receive a Red Cross spoon and celebrity chef recipes (while supplies last). Call 1-800 RED CROSS to make an appointment. Your donation could help save three lives.

Gift Wrap

Nov. 27 through Dec. 24 (various times). Local charities and churches will offer free gift wrapping of mall purchases during the holiday season. The Richland Mall website will have information on location and times. This special service is offered only to Richland Mall customers. Donations are appreciated as the service is conducted by non-profit organizations raising money for their own cause. WVNO Holiday Spectacular

Nov. 26 through Jan. 1. Enjoy a synchronized light display with Mix 106.1 and 99.3 The Light. Motorists can tune their radio to those stations and watch the light display atop the old theatre. The light display dances to holiday music. This show is presented up to 12 times nightky in the southeast parking lot near Stumbo Road. More details are available at the Richland Mall website.
