ONTARIO, Ohio — Hello Gorgeous Hair Studio & Spa celebrated its recent expansion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday.

Ontario Mayor Randy Hutchinson, Ontario Growth Corporation Director Mark Weidemyre and Richland Area Chamber of Commerce President Jodie Perry, as well as Miss Ontario Ashley Blevins were among those in attendance.

Hello Gorgeous, located at 1619 W. Fourth St., first opened three years ago.

“We were growing really fast and we knew that we needed more space,” owner Tiffany Stocksdale explained.

Ribbon cutting

In September, Stocksdale, joined by co-owner Nicole Harrod, took ownership of the adjacent storefront in Townsedge Plaza and spent the next three-and-a-half weeks working on renovations.

“Nicole and I spent a lot of time brainstorming, planning and shopping–my whole garage was full of stuff,” Stocksdale said.

The new space opened two weeks ago.

“It’s been awesome,” Stocksdale said. “We love the atmosphere and our clients really seem to be loving it, too.”

She said one client called the addition “sassy and classy,” and that they’ve since adopted that phrase to describe the salon.

As part of the expansion, Stocksdale said they’re now offering spa services.

“We’re kind of putting our toes in the water,” she said.

Depending on interest levels, they may look to expand those services in the future, she said.

Harrod said they hope the salon becomes a “one-stop shop.”

“You can come get your hair done, your make-up done, eyelash extensions, a facial, pedicure, manicure or a massage all in one place.”

Brow Bar

Hello Gorgeous offers hair services, nail services, facial waxing, massage therapy, facials, spray tans, make-up application and eyelash extensions. The salon also sells jewelry and artwork created by local artists.

“We’re trying to support other local small business owners, too,” Stocksdale said.

Hours of operation are Tuesday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
