Chad E. Abrams, 35, of Lexington, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 28, 2015.
Chad was born on June 6, 1980, in Mansfield, to Larry E. and Brenda L. (Perry) Abrams. He was employed since 2004, as a Corrections Officer at ManCI, and was a member of Calvary Chapel Mansfield. Chad was a big family man, and cherished his family. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and working with furniture.
He was united in marriage on October 9, 1999, to Kimberly (Long) Abrams, and she survives him. Also surviving are his parents, Larry and Brenda Abrams; two children, Jacob Abrams and Sarah Abrams, both at home; one brother, Matthew Lee (Jennifer) Abrams of Mansfield; two brothers-in-law, Jeremy (Kayla) Long and Ronnie Long, both of Crestline; one nephew, Ethan Abrams; two nieces, Briez Abrams and Madelyn Abrams; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Chad was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Harold Abrams and Lyvonne Thompson; and maternal grandparents, Wilbur and Edith Perry.
Calling hours will be held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2015, at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd. Funeral services will follow at 5 p.m. with Pastor Brian Shatzinger officiating.
