Ballet at the Brickyard

MANSFIELD, Ohio – Neos Dance Theatre’s 2nd Annual “Ballet @ the Brickyard” will present an evening of dance, art, and a full Mansfield experience.

“Ballet @ the Brickyard” will be performed at The Brickyard at Temple Court between Diamond and Main Street in downtown Mansfield on Aug. 1.

The evening begins at 6:30 p.m. and includes outdoor gallery space featuring local artists, live visual artists, live music, cigars, and cognac. A VIP area with wine, hor d’oeuvres, desserts, and coffee from Downtown Mansfield local businesses and caterers will also be offered.

Pre-show entertainment featuring local performers, including dancers from the Richland Academy, will begin at 7:30 p.m. with the main performance featuring Neos Dance Theatre beginning at 8:45 p.m.

Parking is on 4th and Main Street in the Municipal Lot and admissions are located at Temple Court and Main Street.

The evening is sponsored by Cleveland Financial Group, Charles P. Hahn, CFP.

Additional areas throughout the VIP tent and the Brickyard are sponsored by local individuals and organizations.

Neos is a non-profit organization. The 2nd Annual “Ballet @ the Brickyard” will kickoff their 2015-16 season in Mansfield. Other summer performances of Neos Dance Theatre will take place throughout Ohio in Findlay, Akron, and Oberlin.

Tickets are available at www.neosdancetheatre.org. VIP tickets are $50, general seating is $25, and there are ticketing options that will support other local participating groups as well. Guests must bring their own chairs or blankets for the general seating area. All audience members must be ticketed to see the performances.

The main performance by Neos Dance Theatre will feature “BACHDANCE,” by guest choreographer Sung Yong Kim of South Korea, and two works by Artistic Director Bobby Wesner, “Vinegar Opus #2” and a premiere that is yet to be titled. Other work for this performance is currently unannounced.

The 1st annual “Ballet @ the Brickyard” event was wildly successful and created an atmosphere of art, culture, and sophistication in the Carousel District. The evening featured live music from local musician Cody Nicolaus and Nashville based musician Timbre Cierpke as well as a host of local caterers such as Beth Carter, Ed Pickens, Café on Main, Two Cousins, Relax It’s Just Coffee, Athens, Squirrels Den, City News, Cypress Hill, Phoenix Brewery, and more.

Neos Dance Theatre premiered a mobile stage unit funded in part by the Richland County Foundation and with additional funding through the Hire Family Foundation. Neos will add more to the stage this summer.
