Thomas Robert Gordon, 56, of Bucyrus, died unexpectedly Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at his home.
Tom was born in Crestline on December 23, 1958 to the late Robert E. Gordon, and his mother, Lee (Vogt) Gordon who survives in Crestline.
Tom was a graduate of Crestline High School, Class of 1977, and a member of the National Honor Society. He continued his education by attending The Ohio State University. Tom was a former employee of Otterbacher Manufacturing in Crestline and worked at Dunlop Tire in Shelby in the warehouse. Tom also helped the family with their farm and groundskeeping. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Crestline, Knights of Columbus, Shelby Council #1968, the Green Clover 4H Club, and he attended Buckeye Boys State. He enjoyed collecting 1:32 scale cars and lanterns.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by: his two brothers, Ed (Brenda) Gordon, Grand Blanc, MI, and Ron (Sue) Gordon, Ashland, his two sisters, Sharon (Michael) Hinkel, Gahanna, and Kay (Mark) Schreck, Ontario, fourteen nieces and nephews: Mindy, Vicki, Timothy, Jennifer, Jacqueline, Natalie, Eric, Todd, Ashley, Jason, Kevin, Steven, Tyler and Ryan.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Joan Marie Knell.
Friends may call Tuesday, July 7, 2015, from 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, 223 West Main St., Crestline. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Crestline, at 1:30 p.m. on July 7, 2015, with Rev. Christopher Bohnsack, Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Crestline.
