Robert E. Fisher, 86, of Mansfield died June 30, 2015. Robert was born in Bluffton, Indiana, the son of Arthur and Iva (Schwartz) Fisher. He graduated from Greenhills School in Cincinnati and went on to work for General Motors as a tool and die maker, retiring in 1989 after 32 years of service. In his free time, Robert enjoyed woodworking and working in his perennial garden. He had always loved flowers, trees, taking walks, and learning about Indian artifacts. A lifelong Mason, Robert was a member of the High 12 Club and Baku Grotto, where he was a Grotto Clown for 30 years, named Styx. Robert was a member of Little Washington Congregational Church.

Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Alma (Brock) Fisher; children, Jana Fisher and Andrew (Mary) Fisher; grandchildren, Bryce Fisher, Corie Fisher, Travis Fisher, Shelby Fisher, and Arianna Fisher; daughter-in-law, Shelley Fisher; and brother, Maurice Fisher.

Along with his parents, Robert was preceded in death by a son, Mark Fisher.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, July 6, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington Springmill Road, Ontario. Funeral services conducted by Pastor Dave Root will begin at 7 p.m. Masonic services will be held following the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mark S. Fisher Scholarship Fund at the Richland County Foundation.
