Jack E. Falk, 96, of Mansfield, died Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at home surrounded by his family. He was born August 28, 1918 in Shelby, Ohio, the son of Charles Herman and Marie (Lehnhart) Falk.
Jack and his beloved wife of 75 years Joan, were Mansfield natives, but also spent 20 years together in Dunedin, Florida. They enjoyed camping, spending many summers in Brevort Lake, Michigan, and belonged to the Holiday Rambler Camp Club. As an avid Cleveland Indians fan, Jack made numerous phone calls to the franchise to offer his opinions and advice. His age never prevented him from embracing technology, including Facebook, Farmville, and texting his loved ones. Retiring after many years as a supervisor at Westinghouse, he stayed very busy with numerous other jobs including television repair and a trailer sales company.
He is survived by a daughter, Barbara Atkins of Mansfield; five grandchildren, Amy (Greg) Genter of Mansfield, David (Lisa) Solomon of Medina, Jennifer Solomon of Cincinnati, Jesse Atkins and Julie Atkins (Travis Ballog), both of Mansfield; eleven great-grandchildren, Colton, Chelsea, Alese and Sydney Genter, David, Rachael and Brinkley Solomon, Olivia and Chloe Porter and Laura and Toni Ballog.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Elizabeth Falk, whom he married October 1, 1939; a daughter, Patricia Falk; and his twin brother, Dick Falk.
There will be no calling hours or services at this time. Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family of Jack E. Falk.
