Betty Lee Hughes, 61, of Greenwich, died Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Hospice of North Central Ohio in Ashland. Born March 14, 1954 in Ashland, she was the daughter of Lee and Pauline (Brown) Smith. Betty lived most of her life in the area, but did live for a short time in Tennessee. A selfless and caring lady, she was also generous in many ways. She loved being close to her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Martha (Chad) Hamman of Mansfield; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three brothers; five sisters; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Hobie” Hughes, her son, Robert Hughes, and daughter, Patricia Hughes.
Friends may call Tuesday, June 16, 2015 from 4-7 p.m. at the Diamond St. Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield.
