David Edward Beer, 73, of Mansfield, passed away unexpectedly on June 9, 2015. Born August 16, 1941, in Mansfield, he was the son of Edward and Teresa (Bogner) Beer. David graduated from Madison High School in 1959 and went on to own his own cabinet making business.
He was an Army veteran, having served during Vietnam. A respectful gentleman, he loved his neighbors very much. David was a member of Richland County Bee Keepers and a member of Apostolic Christian Church on Middle Bellville Road.
Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Betty Beer of Mansfield; daughter, Theresa Beer of Mansfield; sister, Delores (Paul) Getz of Mansfield; sister-in-law, Carolyn Beer of Mansfield; aunt, Lydia Bogner of Bellville; and a host of nieces, nephews, and very dear friends.
Along with his parents, David was preceded in death by an infant son, Edward “Scotty” Beer in 1966; daughter, Kimberly in 1967; and brother, Ronald Beer.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 12, 2015, at 2 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield, conducted by Marc Contrascere. Military graveside services presented by The United States Army will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
