Shelly J. Lacy, 64, of Mansfield, died June 7, 2015. Born February 24, 1951 in Vienna, Austria, she was the daughter of Theodore and Johanna (Horvath) Queen. A strong willed, eclectic lady, Shelly loved animals and had show horses with 4H and through the Paint Circuit.
Surviving are her son, Lief (Tara Thompson) Lacy Of Mansfield; daughter, Erika Lacy of Mansfield; Texas Longhorn Steer, Ed; faithful dog, Larry; sister, Jane Underwood of Lexington; brother, Jack (Christine) Queen of Crestline; cousins from Vienna, Austria, Georg (Eva) Abdank, Lisa Abdank, and Moritz Abdank; lifelong friend, Diana Woodrow of Mansfield; and numerous nieces and nephews that were dear to her heart, you know who you are!
Along with her parents, Shelly was preceded in death by her brothers, Raymond and Rick Queen; and a host of family pets.
A casual gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday, July 4, 2015 at 5 p.m. at The Barn, 56 Vanderbilt Road, Mansfield. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the family.
