Richard Edward Joseph Jerels Sr., 86, died May 21, 2015. Born January 28, 1929 in Fremont, Ohio, he was the son of Lester and Matilda (Weiss) Jerels.
Surviving are his children, Richard Jerels Jr. of Plymouth, Mary Teeter of Plymouth, Diane (William) Beatty of Crestline, Doty (Richard) Griefenstine of Crestline, Mary (Randie) Curtis of Great Falls, Montana, Luana Mayer of Bellville, and Danette (Robert) Hoover of Dayton; seventeen grandchildren; twenty four great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Along with his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne M. Jerels; son, Roy E. Jerels; sister, Joanne Rust; and brother, James Jerels.
There will be no services held at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for expenses.
