MANSFIELD, Ohio – School may be out for summer, but the fun is just beginning at Richland Academy, currently taking registrations for students in visual arts, music, and dance classes.
Richland Academy has an exciting summer line-up of classes beginning in June that include: Altered Books, an art class where students ages 6 and up can give an old book new life filled with creative expression. For the princess, the academy is offering a camp featuring their favorite Disney music filled with “happily-ever-afters.” Students are invited to “Come get Dancy with Nancy and explore how Fancy ballet is when you learn the French vocabulary.”
The academy is, as always, offering weekly dance classes and private music lessons. Both morning and evening times are available depending on the instructor. C
New this summer is Music for Little Mozarts, a fun group piano program for children ages 4-6. This program offers a balance between the discipline needed to play the piano and the enjoyment one gets from the process of music making.
Back by popular demand, the academy will offer KidzRock: where kids, ages four to seven, can learn to play in a rock band. Kidzrock is a music program developed by musician Dave Simon that teaches children as young as 4 how to play an instrument in the setting of a rock band. Band members rotate on drums, electric guitar, and keyboard as they prepare to sing and play in an end-of-session concert.
Classes begin the week of June 15 and are filling up fast.
