M. Kathleen “Kathy” (Workman) Tallman

M. Kathleen “Kathy” (Workman) Tallman, age 78, of Shiloh, died Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at the home of her daughter.

She was born June 2, 1936 in Shelby the daughter of the late Floyd and Opal R. (Adams) Workman. Kathy was a 1954 graduate of Shelby High School. She was a licensed insurance agent with Prudential in Mansfield and an Ohio Notary. She was an active member of Mt. Hope Lutheran Church in Shiloh where she sang in the choir. Kathy was a member of the Red Hat Society and Shiloh Garden Club. She enjoyed the time she shared with her daughter Angie, traveling around the area teaching classes on homemade soaps and lotions. Kathy liked playing cards at the Shelby Community and Senior Center and taking trips with the Huron Senior Center. She especially enjoyed a trip she took to Ireland last fall.

Kathy is survived by her children: Doug Tallman of Greenwich and Angie (Lanny) Seaman of Shiloh; 5 grandchildren: Heather Tallman (Henry Shepherd), Jason (Nicole) Tallman, Lance (Kristin) Seaman, Tyler (Alicia) Seaman, Logan Seaman (Maya Wisdom); 7 great grandchildren; a sister: Bunny Simpson of Willard. She was preceded in death by her dad: Floyd Workman in 1940; her mother: Opal R. Workman Whatman in 1995; her stepdad: John Whatman in 1983; her husband: Richard Tallman in 2006; and a sister: Ethel Foti.

Family and friends are welcome on Sunday, May 17, 2015 from 12 Noon – 2 p.m. at the pavilion located on the property of her daughter at 8128 Planktown North Road, Shiloh where a service will be conducted at 2 p.m. by her grandson, Lance Seaman. Memorial expressions may be made to Mt. Hope Lutheran Church, 29 W Main St, Shiloh, OH 44878.
