Doloris A. Fyock, 79, of New Bremen and formerly of Galion, died Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Minster. She had been seriously ill for the past six months.
Doloris was born in Templeton, PA on July 23, 1935 to the late Edward and Mary (McCoy) Aharrah. She married Howard D. Fyock on June 18, 1954 and he preceded her in death on July 20, 2004.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Galion. Doloris’ family was her life. She was fondly known as “Geefaw” to her great grandchildren.
She is survived by her two sons, Jeffrey and Christine Fyock of New Bremen, Gary and Yvonne Fyock of Galion; her three grandchildren, Jessica and Jason Lozier, Molly and Collin Rush, and Daniel Fyock; one step grandson, Brett Young; her five great-grandchildren, Madison, Mara, and Joel Lozier, and Charlie and Sophie Rush; her two step great-grandchildren; her brother, Neil and Mary Aharrah of Caldwell, NJ; and her sister, Kathy Main of Etters, PA.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Emily Ann Fyock; and her sister Virginia Rupp.
Friends may call Friday, May 15, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, 303 Portland Way N., Galion. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 16 at Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Galion, with Pastor Tim Wingert officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Galion.
Memorial contributions may be made to the State of the Heart Hospice in care of the funeral home.
