MANSFIELD, Ohio – Collaboration and alignment were the theme of the Richland County Foundation Annual Meeting held May 4 at the Mid Ohio Education Center.
Close to 100 people attended to hear messages from Foundation President Brady Groves and JumpStart Inc. CEO Ray Leach. Both men talked about the need for community leaders to come together and focus on building the community.
Foundation President Brady Groves reported the foundation’s assets in 2014 totaled $140,346,934 compared to $136,600,233 in 2013.
The foundation awarded $4,236,124 in grants during 2014 compared to $3,273,717 in 2013.
Foundation donors continue to be most passionate about supporting education with grants totaling $1,830,367. Other sectors receiving grants last year were community development grants $815,887; arts and culture $600,884; children, families and youth $343,817; health services $192,430; human services $169,194; economic development $95,000; environment $94,894 and churches $93,651.
