Dorothy C. Cook, 98, Crestline, died Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at her home.

Dorothy was born in Crestline, on October 13, 1916 at the family home. Her parents were the late Joseph and Georgia (Chambers) Kuhn. She married Ralph Cook on July 11, 1953 and he preceded her in death on April 22, 1980. Dorothy lived her entire life in the same house; having been born and leaving this world in the same place.

Dorothy was a bank teller for the majority of her working career, retiring from United Bank, Crestline. She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Crestline. Her faith was an important part of her life and she was an active member of the former Altar and Rosary Society. Her care for her nieces and nephews made a great impact in their lives. For all of her life, and to all of her family, she was Aunt Dorothy.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews: Pat Tyrrell, Crestline, Mary Yankovich, Mansfield, Jim and Diane Greter, Crestline, many nieces and nephews and many great nieces and great nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Kuhn, her sister, Rosemary Greter, and her niece Jane Lutz

Friends may call Friday after 9:30 a.m. at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Crestline. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 8, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Crestline, with Fr. Jeremy Miller, Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Crestline.

Memorial contributions may be made to Saint Joseph Catholic Church, Crestline in care of the funeral home.
