SHELBY, Ohio–The new Shelby Kiwanis Club is looking for new ideas and fresh looks to benefit the Shelby Community. They’re inviting the community to share ideas on Wednesday, May 13 at 6 p.m. at Legends Sports Grill located at 63 W. Main Street, Shelby.

The new Kiwanis Club is organizing in the Shelby area and is actively seeking men and women to become a part of the global organization of volunteers dedicated to “improving the world; one child, one community at a time.”

This new Kiwanis Club will focus on service projects addressing a variety of community needs including the Shelby School District, for example, raising funds for college scholarships, as well as participating in activities such as organizing youth sports programs, environmental projects and erecting playgrounds.

With an understand of the changing needs of today’s busy volunteers, they encourage potential members to give time on their own terms while contributing to notable causes and meaningful projects. They hope that men and women will join us to make a difference for the children in our community.
