MANSFIELD, Ohio – The North End Community Improvement Collaborative, Inc. (NECIC) is accepting applications for Home Improvement Grants for owner occupied homes in Mansfield’s North End neighborhoods.
Based on availability of funding, these grants will provide up to $2,100 in assistance to low and moderate-income North End residents for minor household repairs. The program requires no repayment from grant recipients.
All repairs must be in non‐painted areas and may include the following: minor roof repairs, minor window repairs, handrails, or banisters, replace door/entry, or privacy/bedroom, minor floor/walls/structure, minor plumbing repair, minor electrical repair, smoke detectors/CO2 testers, repair/replace furnace, and minor interior repairs/wood work, etc.
Eligible applicants must be current on their property taxes, and reside within NECIC’s North End target area: census tracts 6, 7, and 16.
Census tracts 6 and 7 are the region bordered by Trimble Road on its west, North Main Street on its east, Park Avenue West on its south, and Longview Avenue on its north.
Census tract 16 is the region bordered by Poth Road on the north, state Route 39/Springmill Street and state Route 30 on the south, North Trimble Road on the west and Bowman Street on the east.
Please note: tenants, landlords, and mobile home owners are not eligible for this program.
