Murriel E. “Gene” Riddlebaugh, age 79, of Galion passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Signature HealthCARE of Galion.
He was born April 30, 1935 in Galion and was the son of Ralph Malcom and Iola May (Hill) Riddlebaugh.
Gene married April (Holloway) Gardner in September 2005 and she survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sisters and a brother.
Gene worked for the water and sewer department for the City of Galion as a Supervisor for 32 years. He was a member of the Trinity Gospel Tabernacle, Galion and a life member of the AMVETS Polk Township Post 1979, Galion. Gene enjoyed camping and working in the yard.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday, May 1, 2015 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, with Pastor Rick Cox officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Full military honors will be conducted by the United States Army and Galion Crestline Veterans Military Funeral Detail.
