MANSFIELD, Ohio–The American Heart Association’s HeartChase™ is an innovative community event that provides a fun, new way to promote healthy living and support a great cause. It’s about to come to life on Saturday, May 2.
Check-in begins at 10 a.m. and the Chase is on at 11 a.m. beginning in Downtown Mansfield with Game Central Headquarters located at the gazebo.
In HeartChase™, Downtown Mansfield becomes an adventure. Think of the around-town excitement from shows like The Amazing Race™ meets wacky team-based games like Minute-to-Win-It™. And when you combine awesome games, friendly competition, and a very important mission, you’ve got great fun with a purpose.
The Mansfield HeartChase™ event will bring families, friends, and coworkers of all ages together in a community-wide competition to uncover clues, solve puzzles and complete challenges in a race to the finish line.
The HeartChase™ game space consists of 1 square mile in downtown Mansfield, and consists of 10 heart-healthy challenges in which teams will score points when they are completed. Each challenge is a fun and engaging mini-game that will get your heart pumping and your brain thinking. Teams can also score additional points by finding and scanning the “hidden tags” along the way.
The HeartChase™ mobile app is used to navigate the event. The app includes Google Maps integration of the event game space, a QR code reader, photo capturing, push notifications and live score tracking.
