Paul R. Cassady, Sr., age 84, of Galion died Tuesday, April 28. 2015 at home.
Born February 4, 1931 in Louisa, KY., he was the son of Elbert M. and Della J. (Maddy) Cassady. He married Ida M. (Reagan) Cassady on December 23, 1961 and she survives.
He was a member of CrossWay Assembly of God for over 40 years. Paul retired in 2002 as a machinist from the former American Steel Vault Company and previously worked in the maintenance department at the former Perfection-Cobey in Galion for 19 years. He was always working on cars and enjoyed being outdoors.
In addition to his wife he is survived by daughters Candy (Donald) Crowder of Galion and Ella Jane (Chad) Patrick of Galion; sons James (Marsha) Cassady of Galion, Paul Jr. (Connie) Cassady of Lodi and Thomas (Lesley) Cassady of Galion; 16 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren, sister Goldia Reeves of Chula Vista, CA; numerous nieces and a nephew.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 1, 2015 and 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 2 at CrossWay Assembly of God, 200 Gelsanliter Road in Galion where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 2 with Pastor Jeff Shaull officiating. Burial will follow at Iberia Cemetery.
