BUCYRUS, Ohio – Cooper’s Mill announced its second annual “Spring Celebration” to be held on May 1-2 at its retail marketplace in Bucyrus.
This event is designed to celebrate the advent of spring and the flavorful tastes of Cooper’s Mill.
“This year we are proud to announce the addition of a new apple butter barbecue sauce to the already extensive line of fresh, wholesome products locally produced at Cooper’s Mill,” stated Justin McMullen, vice president of Cooper’s Mill. “With barbecue being all the rage right now, it was time for us to come up with something unique and delicious from Cooper’s Mill.”
Dan Cooper, son of Cooper’s Mill founders Dave and Miriam Cooper, is the mastermind behind the new recipes that are developed for Cooper’s Mill. “I love creating new flavors, and I especially love using a traditional Cooper’s Mill staple as the base for creating something new and exciting. I love the flavor profile that our apple butter brings to this barbecue sauce and I am confident that our customers will enjoy it as well,” stated Cooper.
Cooper’s Mill’s Apple Butter is slow-cooked in copper kettles over a wood fire to give it a rich, flavorful taste.
Rhonda Baldwin, manager of Cooper’s Mill said, “If you have not stopped by the Cooper’s Mill marketplace since our renovation and reopening in 2013, now is the time to do so. We are launching several new lines of food products and are excited to share delicious samples of them with our guests.”
The new product lines will launch on Friday, May 1, during the “Spring Celebration” event at Cooper’s Mill, 1414 North Sandusky Avenue in Bucyrus.
The public is invited to visit between 8:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. to enjoy some delicious samples, enter to win prizes and receive special savings on some of the products in the market. Grilled hot dogs, chips, and lemonade will be available from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. for a donation. All money collected will be donated to Crawford County 4-H.
