Monica M. Foust

Monica M. Foust, age 87 of Galion passed away Friday, April 17, 2015 at the Elmcroft of Ontario in Mansfield.

Born January 30, 1928 in Crestline, she was the daughter of Walter and Marion (Amerman) Harner. She married Lawrence “Larry” Foust on December 31, 1945 and he preceded her on October 10, 2014. 

She owned and operated Foust Upholstery in Galion for over 20 years. She enjoyed collecting buttons, bottles and making crafts, including sewing. Monica loved her flower and vegetable gardens and being outdoors. She was a devoted mother and treasured her grandchildren.

She is survived by daughters Brenda Fry of Fredericktown and Lou (Bob) Lepp of Mansfield; son Mike (Cathy) Foust of Johnsville; grandchildren Robin (Wade) Taylor, Scott Kimes, Jason Lepp, Roger (Melinda) Foust, Tina Foust and Kelly (Alex) Hetler; great grandchildren Shawna, Ben, Rowen, Brody and Ameilia and her trusted companion, her dog Sparky.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by sisters Marcine Gelvin and Marion Flhor. 

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, April 20, 2015 at the Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 21. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Alzheimer’s Association in care of the funeral home.
