Lorraine Sutton, age 93 of Galion passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Millcreek Nursing Center in Galion.
She was born December 10, 1921 in Wellston and was the daughter of William and Avonelle (Reedy) Rollins. On February 16, 1946 she married George L. Sutton and he preceded her in death September 15, 2004.
Lorraine was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Galion and taught Sunday school for many years. She was known for her delicious chocolate pies and red devils food cake.
She is survived by her children, Roberta (Doug) Olson of Marysville, George Jr. (Karon) Sutton, Mark (Peggy) Sutton and Jeff (Bridget) Sutton all of Galion; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband George, she is preceded in death by her sons, Dennis “Archie” and David Sutton; her grandson, Tyler Olson and her two sisters, Betty (Jack) Ellsworth and Dorothy (Russ) Ellsworth.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 746 Cherry Street Galion, OH 44833 with Rev. Ash Welch officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.
