GALION, Ohio–The Galion Area Betterment Commission is accepting nominations for their three 2014 service awards. The deadline to submit nominations is Friday.

The Citizen of the Year Award is awarded to an individual who has provided exemplary service to the Galion Community during the past year. The Organization of the Year Award is given to a non-profit group or agency that provides a unique or special service to the community. And the Humanitarian of the Year Award recipient is a person who has responded to a human hurt or need in a significant manner.

Nomination forms for these awards are available at the Galion-Crestline Area Chamber of Commerce office, the Galion Community Center-YMCA, the Galion Public Library, the Galion Inquirer office and most area financial institutions. The deadline for submitting nominations is April 17, at 4 p.m.
