Ellen I. Lohr, 76, of Galion, died Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Galion Pointe Nursing Home, Galion.
Ellen was born in Bucyrus on October 13, 1938 to the late Daniel “Danny” E. Lohr and Ida Rebecca (Barrett) Cox.
Ellen was a member of the American Legion Post 243, Galion, the Amvets, Galion, and the VFW Post 79, Galion. She enjoyed camping, square dancing, and playing BINGO. Ellen’s favorite pastime was watching TV, especially the cooking and Judge shows. In the last weeks of her life, she was cared by her daughter Debbie Fosnaugh and granddaughter Vicki Bowles.
She is survived by her five children: Bill Smith of Nevada, Debbie(Daniel) Fosnaugh of Morral, J.D. (Brenda) Smith of Marion, Michael (Becky) Smith of Marion and Vicki (Hobie) Grady of Nevada, her six grandchildren, her twelve great grandchildren and her two sisters: Maryann Doles of Jackson and Hazel Weilhelm of Nevada.
She was preceded in death by her two sons: Ben Lohr and Randy Smith and her two brothers: Loni Lohr and Neil Lohr.
