Naomi T. Jerow passed away Friday afternoon, March 27, 2015 at home surrounded by her family. She was 95.

She was born July 15, 1919 to parents Brent and Rachie (Cross) Taylor in Pullman, West Virginia. Naomi graduated from Pennsboro West Virginia High School in 1938 and later joined her father in operating the family grocery store and meat market. Naomi was a member of First Methodist Church in Pennsboro, West Virginia.

She married Harry Jerow in 1945 and they both worked in her father’s store until moving to Mansfield in 1948. After Harry passed away in 1969, Naomi continued to work in several meat markets until retiring from Miller Meats after 24 years.

She is survived by three children: Linda (Jerry) Graves of Oklahoma, Bambi (Tim) Corwin of Lexington, and Donald (Gail) Jerow of Colorado; two grandsons Given and Avery Corwin; great granddaughter Tessa Kay; sister Ruth Hall of West Virginia; niece Peggy Wince and nephews Robert (Alice) McDaniels, and Rodney (Rita) Taylor.

In addition to her loving husband of 24 years, she was preceded in death by her parents; siblings Latimer (Madalyn) Taylor and Betty (Dana) Rogers and brother-in-law Lloyd Hall; two nieces and one nephew.

Family and friends may call Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 6-8 p.m. at our Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home. A funeral service in Naomi’s memory will be held Thursday, April 2, 2015 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Mark Dettmer officiating in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mansfield Memorial Park.
