MANSFIELD, Ohio – The Richland County Foundation announces applications for college scholarships for the 2015-16 school year are now available at www.richlandcountyfoundation.org . All scholarships are based on financial need.
Applications also can be picked up at local high school guidance offices and area college campus financial aid offices.
New applicants and high school seniors must have at least a 2.5 grade point average (GPA), college students and returning applicants must have at least a 2.0 GPA, attend an accredited college or university on a full-time basis and be a resident or student in Richland County.
For the 2014-15 school year, the Foundation awarded a record amount of scholarships with over $433,000 given to 417 students.
These are not recurring scholarships and students must re-apply each year. The application deadline is April 1.
