Velma A. Roelle, 81, of Galion passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at her home.
She was born February 12, 1934 in Banner Springs, Tenn. and was the daughter of W.J. and Viann (Beaty) LaRue.
Velma is survived by her husband of 64 years, Joe Roelle who she married on February 17, 1951. She is also survived by her children, Thomas (Alda) Roelle of Galion, Joseph (Kathy) Roelle of Shiloh, John (Karen) Roelle of Tucson, Ariz. and Robert Roelle of Cleveland; nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Velma attended Gospel Baptist Church, Galion. She worked 10 years at the former Fleetwood Manufacturing in Galion and as a waitress at the former Cozy Inn, Porky’s and Ritchey House Hotel Restaurant.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters and six brothers.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 12 noon Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Snyder Funeral Home Richardson Davis Chapel, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, with Chaplain Dallas Waggle officiating. Burial will be in Iberia Cemetery.
