Teresa L. Leitz, 50, of Sandusky passed away Saturday, February 28, 2015 at her parent’s home in Galion after a yearlong courageous battle with cancer.
Born January 14, 1965 in Tucson, Arizona, she was the daughter of Rodney and Patricia (Burris) Rock.
She attended West High School in Columbus and was a member of the Apostolic Tabernacle in Galion. She was an assembly worker for 15 years at the Ford Motor Company in Sandusky. Teresa enjoyed gardening and was very handy and could do anything that needed done. She would help anybody and was especially devoted to her family.
In addition to her parents she is survived by her previous husband Robert Leitz of Lima; grandmother Nellie Rock of Columbus; daughters Amanda Vera (Markus Patton) of Norwalk and Melissa Vera of Norwalk; grandchildren Kadence, Kaylah and Isabella; brother Shannen Rock of Columbus and sister Kelly (Brad) Gibson of Galion.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents and paternal grandfather.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at the Apostolic Tabernacle, 301 Second Avenue, Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday with Pastor Ron Rogers officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Med Central Hospice in care of the funeral home.
