A search warrant conducted by the Mansfield Police Department Internet Crimes Unit in cooperation with the Richland County Sheriff’s Office and the METRICH Enforcement Unit resulted in the arrest of Richard Darr.
After a thorough investigation, detectives discovered that obscene material involving minors was being downloaded at 7356 Armstrong Rd, Butler. A search warrant was signed by the Honorable Judge Ardis and was conducted on Feb. 26.
Upon further investigation, Darr was arrested for Pandering Sexual Oriented Matter Involving a Minor. Further charges will be forwarded to the Richland County Prosecutor’s Office for review.

The Mansfield Police Department, in cooperation with surrounding agencies and communities, continues to aggressively pursue crimes involving juveniles as victims.
