Rehab Telethon

The 2015 Rehab Telethon is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 7 from Noon to 9 p.m. The broadcast will be live from the Center Court at Richland Mall. All proceeds will benefit The Rehab Center.

The Rehab Center, A Catalyst Company, is a non-profit comprehensive outpatient rehabilitation center serving children and adults in north central Ohio. The 2014 Telethon is sponsored by WMFD, Phillips Mfg. & Tower Co., Inc. – Shelby Welded Tube, Richland Bank, Jay Industries, Gorman-Rupp Pumps and Lamar Advertising.

• In 1954 the North Central Ohio community created The Rehab Center to address unmet medical and rehabilitation needs of those who live here. Sixty years later, The Rehab Center continues to respond to the needs in the community with the belief that there is always room for improvement. The staff works toward the total health of the person and serves as an “Agent of Change” in the lives of those we touch. As, A Catalyst Company, The Rehab Center’s vision is to help those we serve lead more fulfilling lives.

The Rehab Center is:

 Audiology Services including comprehensive hearing evaluations for infants, adults and children,

 Community Center for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing,

 Child and Adolescent Mental Health and Crisis Services offering many program options for children and their families,

 New Beginnings Recovery Services including both residential and outpatient for substance use including access to medication-assisted treatment and detox services.

 Progress Industries, work center for the disabled, offering cost-effective solution for business and the community,

 Precise Services lawn care and custodial services with a focus on customer satisfaction.

The Rehab Center, A Catalyst Company offers a sliding-fee schedule for patients who have a limited ability to pay. Most services are covered by private insurance, Medicare, Medicaid and self-pay.

The 2015 Rehab Telethon will feature area talent from Noon to 9 p.m. All entertainment will perform “LIVE” in Center Court at Richland Mall. Local celebrities, VIP hosts, community guests and success stories of clients who have benefited from The Rehab Center’s services will be featured throughout the day.

Special “fun” events “in the wings” including face painting, magicians, dancers, and a few of our furry and feathered friends will be showcased throughout the mall. Volunteers from local businesses, service clubs and organizations will answer the telephones for the Telethon at Richland Mall.

WMFD-TV may be seen over the air on 68.
