Mildred (Jarman) Mathias, 98, of Mansfield, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2015. Born April 8, 1916 in Brookfield, Ohio, she was the daughter of Charles and Pearl (Hahn) Jarman.
She moved to Mansfield at an early age with her family and was employed with MedCentral Hospital as an Assistant Physical Therapist retiring after 25 years of service. Mildred was a wonderful wife and mother who enjoyed cooking and entertaining family and friends. In her retirement, she enjoyed reading, knitting and caring for her flower gardens.
She is survived by her daughter, Margo (Mathias) Laser and her husband, Cliff Laser; her granddaughter, Lynne Laser and her husband, Michael White; and four nephews, Brian, Patrick and Tim Murphy and Dennis Mathias.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Cedric Mathias; a brother, Charles Jarman; and a sister, Waunetah (Jarman) Murphy.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road, Ontario conducted by Rector Emeritus David Sipes. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the services, from 10 – 11 a.m., Saturday at the funeral home.
