Reba Hoover

Reba J. Hoover, age 55, resident of Shelby passed away Sunday, January 25, 2015, at the Cleveland Clinic following a long illness.

Born January 8, 1960 in Mansfield to the late Frank and Martha (Wright) Ball, she was employed with MTD – Shelby for 28 years retiring January 9, 2015.

Reba loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and family whom she loved dearly. She enjoyed being outdoors and attending family gatherings.

She is survived by her husband, J.R. Hoover of Shelby, her children, Brian Mulvane of Shelby and Charlotte (Darin) Zinn of Shelby; her grandchildren, Dylan, Kaylynn, Faith, Hayley, Delaney, Coby, and Eddie; four brothers, Frank (Joy) Ball of Shiloh, Marcus, (Thelma) Ball of Galion, William (Mamie) Ball of Mansfield and Chester (Rebecca) Ball of Shiloh, numerous nieces, nephews and her special friend whom she considered her sister, Kim Walston-Buck of Muncie, Indiana.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Debra Crouse.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday January 29, 2015 at the Bethel Freewill Baptist Church, 3983 St. Rt. 13, Mansfield, Ohio. Reverend Rick Pelfrey will officiate with burial in Ganges Cemetery. Friends may call at the Barkdull Funeral Home in Shelby Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to American Liver Foundation, 39 Broadway, Suite 2700, New York, New York 10006.
