The Ohio District 5 Area Agency on Aging, Inc. welcomes three new Board of Trustee members and voted in new officers at their January board meeting.

Representing Morrow County is Jeffrey B. Polzin. Polzin holds a bachelor of science in Pharmacy and Psychology from The Ohio State University of Columbus, Ohio. He is a registered Pharmacist employed with Discount Drug Mart as a District Manager of Central Ohio and Pharmacy Manager/Pharmacist in Mt. Gilead. He brings a wealth of experience in finance, advocacy, marketing, HIPPA and is a small business owner.

The board welcomes Sherry K. Hill and Jana Mulherin representing Richland County. Hill’s professional career includes working as an Event Coordinator for the non-profit, Ohio Housing Authorities Conference. Her experience makes her very familiar with state and government funding and budgets.

Jana Mulherin’s professional experience includes 18 years with the United Telephone/Sprint Company. She is currently a caregiver and local business owner Mansfield Dairy Queens which has been part of her husband’s family for 68 years.

The following members were voted in as officers for 2015, President Jerod Them, Vice Presidents Jody Dobbins and Larry Bennett, Treasurer John Kastelic, Secretary Elizabeth Myers.

The Ohio District 5 Area Agency on Aging, Inc., located at Hawkins Corner in Ontario, serves a nine county are including Ashland, Crawford, Huron, Knox, Marion, Morrow, Richland, Seneca and Wyandot counties, providing assistance to seniors and disabled individuals.
