United Way of North Central Ohio is pleased to announce that, with just weeks remaining before the close of the campaign year at the end of June, the organization has achieved 80 percent of its annual fundraising goal.
As the organization enters the final stretch, it is inviting the community to join the effort to close the gap at its final fundraising event of the year – Spring Purse Bingo.
The event, which will take place on May 1 at the Masters Building at the Wyandot County Fairgrounds, draws sponsors, volunteers, and guests from across the UWNCO five-county region, including Platinum Sponsors Dostal & Kirk Insurance & Financial Services and Firelands Federal Credit Union.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the annual community campaign, which provides critical funding for more than 60 local nonprofit projects and programs working in Crawford, Marion, Morrow, Seneca, and Wyandot counties to address pressing community needs and provide opportunities so that every person in every community can thrive.
“We are so grateful for the generosity and momentum that our donors, corporate partners and advocates have shown in bringing us so far in this campaign,” said Amber Wertman, UWNCO Chief Executive Officer.
“Our annual purse bingo event is a great opportunity to come together as a region, enjoy a fun evening with friends, and help move us closer to reaching our campaign goal.”
Each reservation at UWNCO Spring Purse Bingo includes 18 games of bingo for 18 designer purse prizes and a full charcuterie buffet available all evening, with additional games and raffles available.
UWNCO is also hosting Pack the Purse at Spring Purse Bingo this year. Guests who donate period products and personal hygiene items for distribution to local nonprofits will receive a chance to win one of five special prizes.
