Luba Christoff, 91, of Mansfield, died January 14, 2015. Born January 24, 1923 in Sophia, Bulgaria, she was the daughter of Kuzma and Anasophia (Elva) Djebrova.
Luba had formerly worked in the House Wares department of Lazarus. In her free time, Luba enjoyed gardening, cooking, flowers and playing Liverpoool Rum. She was well traveled visiting such places as Bulgaria and Hawaii. She spoke five languages. Luba enjoyed crocheting and make beautiful baby blankets, booties and hats for many family and friends. She was a member of Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church.
Surviving are her step daughter, Helen Mlay; step-grandchildren, Michael L. (Deloris) Mlay, Michele (Paul) Webb, Georgiann (Steve) Smith, Robert (Marion) Christoff; step great-grandchildren, Paul (Sara) Webb, Kyle Webb, Deanna (John) Mack, Tom (Kari) Norris; and special friend, John Coles.
Along with her parents, Luba was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Christoff; step-son, George; nephews, Jim and Steve Pandoff; sister, Jessie Pandoff; and brothers, Vasil and Evon Djebrova.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, January 18, 2015 from 2-5 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington Springmill Road, Ontario. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 19, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, conducted by Father Michael Ellis. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harbor Light Hospice.
