Dorothy Miller, 87, of Bellville, died January 5, 2015. Born December 16, 1927 in Weller Township, OH, she was the daughter of Frend and Anna (Bloom) Clingan. Dorothy graduated from Union High School in Weller Township and lived all her life in Richland County. An independent, outgoing, patriotic woman, Dorothy was a devoted wife to her husband, Jerry William Miller, during their 61 years of marriage and had missed him dearly since. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, traveling, listening to music, and was an accomplished seamstress. Dorothy volunteered at Kingwood Center, helping in the gardens and in the office, and was a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary Bellville Post 535.
Surviving are her daughters, C. Jill Miller (Robert Felipa) of Lebanon, OR, Claudia (Tod) Wise of Mansfield, and Juli (Rick) Baker of Bellville; grandchildren, Elizabeth Felipa, Stephanie Felipa, both of Oregon, Jenn (Matt) Forschner of Dublin, OH and Brian (Ashley) Baker of Mansfield; great-grandchildren, Jack Forschner, Nathan Baker, Kylie Baker, and Kenton Baker; sisters, Karen (Russ) McQuate of Wooster and Miriam Hendershot of Marion; brother-in-law, Tom Miller of Newark; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry William Miller; sister, Winona Swisher; and brothers-in-law, Dick Hendershot, Paul Swisher, and Tom Eberhart.
There will be no services held.
